What does the $3,995 onboarding fee cover?

The onboarding fee covers your complete setup: sandbox and production API key provisioning, a 1-on-1 onboarding call with our engineering team, integration architecture review, full documentation access, 30 days of priority launch support, and a compliance checklist walkthrough for GDPR/CCPA/TCPA. It's a one-time, non-refundable investment in your integration success.

How does the 3× pricing work?

Every API call that consumes a third-party resource (AI tokens, SMS, voice minutes, email) is billed at exactly 3× the underlying provider cost. You can see real-time cost breakdowns in your dashboard. For example, if a GPT-4 call costs $0.03 to OpenAI, you pay $0.09. This markup covers our infrastructure, agent orchestration, multi-tenant security, and continuous platform improvements.

Can I try it before committing?

Yes. Once approved, you receive a fully functional sandbox environment with test API keys (sk_test_). The sandbox includes mock data and simulated agent responses so you can validate your integration before going live. The sandbox is included in the onboarding fee with no additional per-call charges.

What happens if I exceed my tier's included API calls?

Overages are billed at the 3× usage rate — you're never cut off. Your dashboard shows real-time usage with alerts at 80% and 95% thresholds. If you consistently exceed your tier, we'll recommend an upgrade to save you money on per-call costs.

How is intellectual property protected?

The API License Agreement includes comprehensive IP protections: a 24-month non-compete covenant, strict prohibitions against reverse engineering, no permission to train competing AI models with API outputs, and a confidentiality clause that survives 5 years (trade secrets are protected indefinitely). All IP remains with CloudFran — the API is licensed, never sold.

What's the contract length?

The initial term is 12 months, auto-renewing annually. Either party can non-renew with 60 days notice. Early termination is possible with 60 days notice, but remaining fees for the term may apply. We offer flexibility because we believe the platform's value speaks for itself.
